If you have a premium account:

  1. Close all Minecraft related windows on your computer.
  2. Then open Minecraft again and try to join your server.
  3. If this does not work try restarting your computer.

If you recently changed your Minecraft username:

  1. Close all Minecraft related windows on your computer.
  2. Then open the launcher and log out and log back in.
  3. Try to join the server.
